Raise the curtain for Principal Dierberger

Rocky Heights Middle School (RHMS) Principal, Patricia Dierberger will be awarded with the Alliance of Colorado Theater (ACT) award for Distinguished Service within the Profession, on September 24. This award is given to a person within the education profession who promotes and supports theater in their school.
The Alliance for Colorado Theater is the voice of theater education in Colorado. They provide continuing education conferences, set professional standards for theater education, and sponsor forums for the exchange of information in theater.
“I am very pleased to receive this recognition for Rocky Heights Middle School” Dierberberger says. “When a school has the talent and passion of two wonderful theater teachers like Susie Ritter and Maclain Looper, it is easy to support the drama program. They both give so much time and energy to creating an environment that allows each student to share their talents.”
Dierberger was nominated for the award by RHMS drama teacher, Susie Ritter. Ritter received the ACT award for Middle Level Theater Educator of the Year in 2009.
