Public Works Tracks

This information has been provided by the City of Castle Pines North.

City Public Works crews are busy wrapping up summer maintenance projects and getting
ready to outfit the dump trucks with snow plows and sanders. But before the winter snow, there are many fall projects to complete:

Concrete Maintenance – In early October, City Public Works crews will be busy repairing concrete curb and gutter, drainage cross pans, and concrete pavement.

Street Sweeping – The City has scheduled a City-wide sweep on Oct. 4-5. Residents are asked to refrain from parking on streets over this time period.

Asphalt Pavement Crack Sealing – Now that the nights and days are getting cooler, crews are preparing to fill cracks in asphalt streets prior to winter. The work is anticipated to begin early to mid-October with a scheduled completion near the end of October.

In addition to these fall activities, the Public Works department is also working with a consultant to develop a pavement management program that will assist with the planning and budgeting of capital improvement projects, such as street rehabilitation and reconstruction.

During the winter months the department also will be performing traffic management projects including a corridor study to develop strategies to reduce or eliminate pedestrian and vehicle conflicts along Monarch Boulevard. City Council also has tasked staff to develop a neighborhood traffic management program.
