Public Works Shifts Gears

This information has been provided by the City of Castle Pines North

Moving into spring, Public Works crews will be transitioning from snow plowing and pothole patching to street sweeping, pavement/concrete repairs and street re-striping.

Public Works is currently requesting proposals from consultants to perform a pavement management plan for the City.

The plan, accounted for in the current budget, will provide City officials with necessary and detailed information regarding the condition of city streets and the required maintenance to optimize pavement expenditures.

Mayor Pro Tem Doug Gilbert explains, “The pavement study will involve professionals evaluating the condition and remaining useful lives of our 88 line miles of streets along with curbs and gutters. The study will divide those 88 lane miles into planning units and we will be able to plan out capital needs, unit by unit.”
