Dumb Friends League “Down Home" with Alabama

Castle Pines Village residents Jana and Fred Bartlit hosted the 17th annual Lulu’s Barkin' BBQ to benefit homeless pets and horses at the Denver Dumb Friends League. The event raised more than $800,000 to help provide veterinary care, behavior training and other critical services for homeless pets and horses in the Dumb Friends League’s care.

Chalk it up 4 Charity Art Contest

More chalk, more fun, more charity ... Budding artists gathered at Elk Ridge Park as part of Party in the Park in August to take part in Chalk It Up 4 Charity, a community sidewalk art contest where 100 percent of the proceeds go to a local nonprofit – and the winner gets to decide which one.

Pistons in the Pines

Pistons in the Pines community car show will be held the third Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. until noon for as long as the weather is good. The event will be held at the old Safeway parking lot in Castle Pines. There are no fees for the car show and residents are encouraged to login to the Pistons in the Pines Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/events/1225077820956177/ to get information about future events.
