Michelle McCluskey and Kimberly Jester’s third grade students raised generous donations that allowed these elves to shop for clothing and toys, as well as provide an adopted family with three Chromebooks along with a special tablet for one child with cerebral palsy.

Project Elf

The third grade classes of Timber Trail Elementary took part in Crisis Center of Castle Rock’s Operation Elf. It was part of a project-based learning activity, a teaching method used where students try to answer challenging questions and solve real world problems.

Operation Elf made the holidays brighter for a special adopted community family of five. Cash donations raised by the classrooms provided the single mother, her 9-year-old triplet boys, one with cerebral palsy, and her 7-year-old daughter with needed clothing, outerwear, a special holiday meal and many gift cards to support additional needs of the family.
