NPL national championship finalists

Three 14-year-old Castle Pines residents – Zane Sokolowski, Trevor Wright and Xander Zdravecky were finalists in the National Premier League (NPL) national championship held at Aurora Sports Park in July. The young men play for Real Colorado U14 Development Academy; Sokolowski as a forward, Wright a midfielder, and Zdravecky as a winger. The team advanced through the regionals, representing the best teams from Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. The team won several semifinal games with their strong and talented players, but ultimately, lost a tight final game 0:1.
“It was an amazing experience to play against some of the best teams and players in the country and now know that we are able to have success and compete at the highest level,” said Zdravecky. “I loved being able to do this with my best friends and classmates.”
