New Ownership, New Energy

Classy Nails in the City of Castle Pines has a new owner. Holly Shirmenzagas acquired the day spa in November 2021 and is excited for her latest endeavor. “I’ve always wanted to own my own business, so this was the perfect opportunity,” said Shirmenzagas.
Born in Mongolia, Shirmenzagas came to the U.S. in 2011 when she was in middle school. Her family settled in Colorado to be near an aunt. While in college at the University of Denver, Shirmenzagas worked part time at Classy Nails. After graduating in May 2020 with a degree in economics, she took a job as an anti-money laundering analyst at a financial services company in Denver until last November when she was presented with the opportunity to purchase Classy Nails.
Shirmenzagas and her team work seven days a week, and she says not having enough hours in the day is one of her biggest challenges. “It is very important to me to manage my time efficiently, especially as a young business owner,” she added. Walk-in customers are welcome, but appointments are recommended.
Originally opened in 2010 on Village Square Lane, the day spa offers a full menu of manicures and pedicures, hot stone massages and waxing. Shirmenzagas is hoping to bring more services to include eyelash extensions, facials and makeup application. When Shirmenzagas is not at the salon, she is a runner and notes one of her biggest accomplishments is losing 90 pounds and running a marathon. She added that her family is very supportive of her latest endeavor and is helping her with the day spa operations.
“Classy Nails is a woman-owned business and we are striving to be the best nail salon in Castle Pines,” said Shirmenzagas. “We appreciate the community supporting local businesses.”
