New Law affects our Teens

A new state law affecting young drivers went into effect on July 1. The law requires a teenager to hold an instruction permit for six months before being eligible to get a driver’s license. The age at which a person is eligible for a learner’s permit was raised from 15 years and six months to 16 years, unless the person has taken a driver training course that meets the standard of the National Safety Council.
