New business helps shoppers find tailor-made coupons

Coupons can be a great money saver, but a group of Castle Pines-area entrepreneurs know they can also be a real hassle to manage and they decided to do something about it.
To help consumers better take advantage of available offers – and allow businesses to reach a more targeted audience – Colorado shoppers now have OfferClick (www.offerclick.com), a website that allows consumers to specify their preferences for what kinds of coupons and offers they wish to receive and also to receive offers only for stores in their own geographic area.
“Getting to the store without your coupons is an inconvenience and a loss of potential saving,” said Erin Seabold, OfferClick’s director of marketing and sales.
Signing up for OfferClick is free and takes just a few minutes. Once the site has registered your preferences, you will receive offers via e-mail that can either be printed out as hard copies, or simply stored on your “smartphone” or other hand-held device. For consumers without smartphones, a text message option is also available.
“Consumers have the option of printing out a hard copy of their coupons or simply pulling up the coupon on their hand-held device. The code on the coupon can be used without ever being printed on a piece of paper, which not only makes things more convenient for the person shopping, but also makes it a ‘green’ way to shop,” said Seabold.
OfferClick has formed local alliances with Denver Channel 7 and is an investor in the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce.
“For merchants, this is a very cost-effective way to reach consumers. This program is good for small to medium-sized businesses and is a good way to keep our dollars local,” said Seabold.
At the present time, OfferClick is a local company looking to expand to the national level.
“We welcome new partners in all aspects of our business – merchants, consumers, and investors,” said Seabold.
