New Bus Service Offers Free Rides for One Week

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! There’s a new commuter express bus service from Colorado Springs to Denver, with stops in Monument, Castle Rock, the Denver Tech Center and downtown Denver.

This week, October 11-15, Front Range Express (FREX) is offering free rides for anyone wanting to try out this new commuter service.

The Castle Rock bus stop will be at the Park N Ride at the Outlets Mall, Exit 184. From Castle Rock to Denver, the fare will be $3. The fare from Colorado Springs to Denver is $6. Tickets will also be sold in bargain packs of 10, 20 or 40, and can be purchased at King Soopers and Safeway.

FREX has 13 new buses that have free Internet access and reclining seats. Springs Transit, which will operate the system, expects at least 300 riders a day when the new service launches. There will be 25 departures a day.
