The hustle and bustle of the holiday season took a time out for some fun and relaxation at Salon 188’s grand opening celebration in December with new owner Judy Krowiec. Roughly 240 people attended the gathering, including former clients and some who were new to the area.

Everyone who attended received a gift bag full of salon product samples, Caren lotion, and coupons for the salon as well as a number of other local businesses. And there was plenty to snack on with steak bites and southwest chicken courtesy of Dukes, bite size Bundt cakes from the Bundt Shoppe, lots of cheese, chocolate covered pretzels, and peppermint bark, as well as wine to wash it all down.

Complimentary makeovers by the salon’s makeup artist and massages from one of their masseuses provided some much appreciated relaxation in the midst of the holiday flurry. As Krowiec said, “It was a blast and lasted well into the evening!” Along with selling a great deal of merchandise and salon products Krowiec also commented, “We had a drawing and gave away six wonderful door prizes. We met the community, had a ribbon cutting, and everyone had fun!”

If you missed the grand opening, feel free to stop by Salon 188 and check it out. Walk ins are welcome and Krowiec even has a few goody bags leftover to give away. Spa services will begin later this month. To learn more, visit www.salon188.com.

Visitors to the Salon 188 grand opening celebration enjoyed complimentary massages and makeovers.

Lots of yummy snacks and wine added to the festivities.
