Neighbors helping neighbors

There is a saying, “Being a good neighbor is an art which makes life richer.”  Several neighbors recently gathered to do some yard work for a couple going through a rough patch.

For more than two hours, these good Samaritans in The Retreat neighborhood in the City of Castle Pines weeded the yard, raked the leaves, removed three dead bushes, mowed the lawn, pruned bushes, tended to flower beds, blew off the sidewalks and bagged everything for collection.

According to one of the participants, “We all did this with happy hearts, wanting to make the homeowners feel good.  In the end, it made us feel good too.”
