Kerry and Christine Harwell have lived in Colorado for 21 years. Kerry, retired from a 30-year career in the construction industry and Christine took an early retirement as a partner for a large CPA firm to pursue a different full-time endeavor. The husband and wife team are now volunteer ministers for their congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Christine mentioned, “We believe the Bible is divinely inspired, so we offer teachings on the Bible through community outreach. We enjoy sharing the good news and positive message the Bible offers and the hope for the future of mankind.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses are a denomination of Christians known for their door-to-door ministries. Kerry became involved in the denomination back in the ‘70s as a 10-year-old whose parents joined the ministry. Christine learned about the faith as a senior in high school back in Maryland. Kerry was transferred with his job to Maryland where he met and married Christine.

Originally from Minnesota, Kerry recalled, “I talked Christine into moving to Colorado. I had lived here for a few years previously, and I really wanted to go back.” The couple loves the area and the outdoorsy Colorado lifestyle.

The Harwells enjoy traveling and have been extensively through Europe. Christine said, “When our travels can include the annual Jehovah’s Witnesses international convention, it’s a such a special and joyful occasion.” The conventions have taken them to Portugal, Ukraine, Malta and Canada.
