October was breast cancer awareness month and Kim Becker made a contribution.  She hosted a fundraiser with the ONEHOPE Foundation (ONEHOPE) to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

“My mom is a breast cancer survivor and many of my friends have had breast cancer, so I wanted to raise money to support this cause,” said Becker, who lives in HOA2.

Twelve women attended, and others who could not attend in person made online donations.

“We enjoyed each other’s company while tasting six wines and learning what foods pair well with them,” said Barb Kovacevich, representative for ONEHOPE.  “Ten percent of the wine purchased that night went to Kim’s nonprofit of choice.”

ONEHOPE is one of the largest direct-to-consumer wineries in the world and has donated more than $10 million to 40,000 local and global causes.
