Nearby fall festivals to enjoy

With the colorful falling leaves and cooler evenings, autumn is a beautiful time of year to enjoy outdoor fall festivals with family and friends. Whether you delight in live music, a maze and scavenger hunt, the fine arts or pumpkin picking, there is something for everyone. Here are some nearby festivals to enjoy:

 

Castle Rock ArtFest

This event in downtown Castle Rock is Saturday, September 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features more than 110 artists from around the U.S. There will be live, main stage entertainment, food trucks, vendors, a Kids Zone and live demonstrations. Colorado Agricultural Leadership Foundation (CALF) Harvest Day

CALF will hold its Harvest Day festival at Lowell Ranch, just south of Castle Rock, on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This annual event for all ages features hayrides, pick your own pumpkin and produce, a bake sale and more. Larkspur Autumn Arts & Crafts Fest

This family-oriented event featuring unique arts and crafts booths is Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22, at the Larkspur Community Park in the middle of town. Admission is free. Lone Tree Fall Festival

The annual City of Lone Tree Fall Festival is Sunday, October 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Schweiger Ranch, with pumpkin picking, a petting zoo, crafting, carriage rides and more. Parker Fall Fest

The Town of Parker celebrates the start of autumn Saturday, September 21 through Saturday, September 28 at O’Brien Park in downtown Parker. Enjoy a hay bale maze, a scavenger hunt and other fun family-friendly events and activities. There are also adult-friendly attractions, including a beer garden and an axe-throwing booth. Anderson Farm Fall Festival

The festival runs from Wednesday, September 25 through Saturday, November 2, with all sorts of fall fun for the whole family.
