Napoleon Fans Have a “Sweet” Time at the Master Association’s Summer Movie in the Park
by Elean Gersack
Despite a chill in the air and passing rain showers, the Master Association’s presentation of Napoleon Dynamite was enjoyed thoroughly by many Castle Pines North (CPN) families. For the first time, and with the help of the main event sponsor, Dr. Andrew Dunbar of Castle Pines Orthodontics, a PG-rated movie was selected for this family night at Coyote Ridge Park.
“It was nice to offer a CPN outing that the older kids would really enjoy,” said Carla Kenny, Social Event Planner for the CPN Master Association. Napoleon Dynamite is a favorite among teens and many got into the groove, showing off “Vote for Pedro T-shirts” during the pre-party parade and trivia game.
Before the rain arrived, kids had time to enjoy bounce castles and playing in the park while parents mingled with neighbors. For those looking for dinner, Castle Cones was on hand with $5 meal deals. “It was perfect – everyone raved about the food and the small cost for a great dinner,” said Kenny.
Once the rain arrived, folks took to cars. “We took a little break and enjoyed our meal deals and then headed back for more bounce time and the movie,” said CPN resident Jenny Deschane. Although some families left, a group of about 300 fans stuck it out for the big show at dusk.
The CPN Master Association would like to thank both Dr. Andrew Dunbar of Castle Pines Orthodontics and the McDowell Family of Castle Cones, for helping to make this such a fun event. To view pictures from the Napoleon Dynamite Movie in the Park, visit our album.
