The night was bright, the kids snuggled up in sleeping bags and Chuck – the movie’s lead character – found his way back home. Ahh … life is good. The 2010 Summer Movie in the Park, featuring Planet 51 at Coyote Ridge Park, was a big hit for kids and grown-ups alike.

This family-fun community event attracts more than 1,000 residents each year and is becoming the official end of summer tradition for the Castle Pines community.

Before the movie, families enjoyed games, jumpy castles, concessions and face painting. Movie goers grabbed Martian bobble head bands and donned their glow-in-the-dark glasses and witnessed an amazing sunset before enjoying the movie.

During the show, families sat under a picture-perfect starlit night and watched Chuck, the astronaut, descend on a planet full of little green people. With the help of one brave soul, Lem, Chuck was able to return to his ship safely.

Thanks to the 2010 Summer Movie in the Park sponsors – Solid Life Christian Church, Castle Pines Orthodontics, City Wide Roofing, The Canyons and The Castle Pines Connection – for making this great family event possible.

Fun was had by the whole family at the 2010 Movie in the Park!

This group of RCHS students was just “too cool for school” in their glow-in-the-dark glasses from The Castle Pines Connection booth.
