Morman Church purchases land; anticpates growth

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Church), commonly known as the Mormon Church, has purchased a parcel of land in what is referred to as “Lagae Ranch” or “Lagae North.” The parcel borders Mira Vista Lane and is situated northeast of American Academy Charter School and Elk Ridge Park, in the City of Castle Pines.
“We are pleased to confirm that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has recently completed the acquisition of a parcel of land in Castle Pines,” said President Douglas L. Polson, president of the Castle Rock Colorado Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“While there are no immediate development plans related to the parcel, it was acquired in anticipation of the growth that The Church is experiencing in this area and with the intent that a beautiful chapel will be built upon it at an appropriate time in the future. We are so pleased with this future site and believe The Church’s future use of this site will be a blessing, both to the members of The Church and to the Castle Pines community,” Polson said.
