Mini Derby
On May 4, Sky View Farm hosted a Mini Derby fundraising event for Robin’s Nest Foundation, Mile High Rescue and Tall Tales Ranch. Nearly $35,000 was raised for the three nonprofits.
More than 280 guests enjoyed music, wine and whiskey tasting, silent and live auctions, a chance to show off their fancy hats, a viewing of the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby, and the miniature horse race.
“The goal of the mini derby is to create a community gathering to showcase our support of community needs, as these nonprofit resources each have something special to offer that works together for different needs,” stated Wendy Ingraham, Sky View Farm owner.
Although the Kentucky Derby was a three-way photo finish, Princess Buttercup (in pink below) ran away with the Mini Derby!
