Metro District to Upgrade Retreat Park
by Lane Roberts
The first, and oldest, park in Castle Pines North (CPN) is set to receive a face lift.
The Castle Pines North Metro District Board of Directors recently approved an upgrade to The Retreat Park. The park, located off Tangleoak Lane in The Retreat neighborhood, was built in the late 1980s.
Metro District Parks and Open Space Manager Charlie Fagan presented the plan to the Board which will include: new play ground equipment, a small pavillion, new benches, swing sets, sandbox, six picnic tables, play motion rides, a rock wall, new water fountain, and a barbeque grill.
Fagan presented the proposed new park plan to homeowners of The Retreat at their annual meeting on March 14. Homeowners attending the meeting were pleased with the new park plan.
Bids for the project will be obtained during the next few weeks. Fagan hopes to begin the project by June. The estimated cost for the project is $100,000. For more information, please e-mail Contact by email or call 303-688-8550.
