Metro District to Flush Fire Hydrants
During the summer months, the Metro District will perform routine maintenance on fire hydrants in Castle Pines North. Hydrant flushing helps monitor chlorine levels and alleviates sediment from the water lines. Members of the maintenance staff will also be exercising valves in the streets. This ensures that the valves are operational if a valve needs to be closed to turn water off.
The District oversees the project to ensure proper turn-on procedures. Workers place “hydrant flushing” signs at each location. If you see water running from a hydrant, and no signs or workers are present, please contact the Metro District immediately at 303-688-8550.
