McDonald’s update September 2024
In the July issue of The Connection, we shared that the Castle Pines City Council denied an appeal from McDonald’s regarding a restaurant to be built on the southwest corner of Castle Pines Parkway and Lagae Road.
Ventana Capital, the development company who owns the land, and its entity CP Commercial, has filed suit against the Council, seeking to overturn its decision. The complaint argues that the McDonald’s proposed site improvement plan does in fact comply with the City of Castle Pines comprehensive plan, and therefore should have been approved.
Next, representatives of the Council will file a response to the complaint, and then both parties will file legal briefs with the court. The timeline for these next steps is not yet known and will be determined by the court.
