Mama Lisa’s Little Italy celebrates 15 years in Castle Pines

Article and photos by Kathy Fallert

“I was told by the business lender that most small restaurants don’t survive past the first year,” chuckled Lisa Storey (a.k.a. Mama Lisa) of Mama Lisa’s Little Italy restaurant in Castle Pines, as she addressed the standing room-only crowd at her restaurant’s 15-year anniversary celebration on February 1.

Complimentary appetizers, pizza and cocktails were offered to the many customers who stopped in for the party.  A guitar player sang and entertained patrons as they enjoyed the provisions in the festive atmosphere.  Mama Lisa gave a heartfelt speech thanking her supporters, her family and her steadfast employees.

Storey commented, “I feel privileged to be a part of the Castle Pines community.  The kindness and support has kept me inspired, as well as keeping the lights on for the past 15 years.  Thank you for making me a part of your families and your neighborhood!”
