Lots to do in Castle Rock this month

The Castle Rock Downtown Alliance (CRDA) is host to some fun outings this month.

Want to skip a night in the kitchen? Restaurant Week is October 6-12 and the participating restaurants (listed below) will create a special menu for the week, serving dishes not on the regular menu.

Participating restaurants include: Angie’s Restaurant, Arayes Grill, B&B Cafe, Fish & Company, Gluttony & Graze, Granelli’s Pizzeria, Great Divide Brewery, Scileppi’s at the Old Stone Church, Sinners & Saints, Tribe at Riverwalk, Union American Bistro, Vista Vino and Wild Blue Yonder Brewing Co.

“For the foodie in everyone, this is an opportunity to see what these restaurants have to offer,” stated Kevin Tilson, CRDA director. “We hope that the community will join us for some great food from local, independent restaurants in downtown Castle Rock!”

On Friday, October 25, the Fangtastic Festival will be at Festival Park from noon to 3 p.m. Dress up and bring your costumed kids for trick or treating, vendor booths, Halloween music and more. This event welcomes all, but especially those littles not yet in school and homeschooled children.

The CRDA is a partnership between the Downtown Merchants Association and Downtown Development Authority; the organizations share a mission “to create and maintain an active and vibrant downtown Castle Rock.”
