The new Lone Tree Recreation Center is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 1st. A special grand opening celebration will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, and will feature free admission, facility tours, live entertainment, crafts, summer class showcase, giveaways and more.
The $14 million recreation facility, which is part of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District, is located at 10249 Ridgegate Circle, next to Sky Ridge Hospital.
The 54,000 square-foot facility features a state-of-the-art fitness studio with a weight room and a complete cardiovascular center. The facility also offers a running track, racquetball, wallyball and handball courts, and a gymnasium.
Unique aquatic sport amenities include a zero depth entry play pool with interactive features, large body slide, a lazy river, three lap lanes and floor geysers in the shallow area, and a whirlpool.
The facility will also offer a variety of classes. “We will have classes in fitness, cultural arts, athletics and senior programs,” said South Suburban Parks and Recreation Marketing Specialist Chris Brink. “We will also offer an off-track program available for school-aged youth.”
Castle Pines North residents can attend the center at the “non-resident” rates.
The Lone Tree Center offers a variety of passes including a daily, a monthly, quarterly, 10-punch pass, and an annual pass, along with corporate memberships. For example, daily admission for adult non-residents is $5.50, and an annual pass for a non-resident family is $968.
Passes include locker, towel, unlimited use of aquatics during open and lap swim hours, weight room, track, whirlpool, gymnasium and racquetball. Affordable baby sitting is also available with no reservations necessary.
