While a variety of sports organizations have come through the Sports Complex at Inverness during the last 12 months, the most recent addition is perhaps the most exciting yet says Castle Pines North resident and owner, Tracy Dudley. The volleyball-centric facility, located near I-25 and Dry Creek, is currently transforming into half volleyball and half extreme-sports. The Sports Complex parent company (South Metro Volleyball) has partnered with Xtreme Challenge Arena to offer something new.
Xtreme Challenge Arena has been compared to American Gladiator meeting the television show Wipe Out and then marrying Ninja Warrior! Inside this customized gladiator-style arena, participants of all ages and abilities can participate in zany challenges, hilarious athletic competition, and super human feats. Activities challenge individuals and groups to think out-of-the-box while enjoying physical fun and exercise. They are appropriate for corporate teambuilding, company picnics, birthday parties, youth groups, scout troops, and much more.
“The activities and events we offer were designed to unite groups of friends, family, and even coworkers in an unusually challenging physical arena,” says Aaron Plagenza, owner of the Colorado Springs franchise. “There’s always a ton of laughs and serious competition as well—everyone plays at their skill level.”
Xtreme Challenge is a Colorado-originated franchise concept designed and invented by former American Gladiator Champion, professional stunt man, and personal trainer, Kyler Storm—who is currently working very hard toward the grand opening of the Inverness location.
“Xtreme Challenge is very excited to open its fifth Colorado location in Inverness. The building’s proximity to a multitude of businesses makes it extremely convenient for hosting corporate events,” said a member of the company’s management team.

Sports Complex Owner’s Update:
Sports Complex at Inverness had a wonderful first year! One of the most successful programs at the Sports Complex has turned out to be youth volleyball. The facility seems to have captured a missing niche in Colorado volleyball. Prior to now, young players have never had an in-between option in volleyball leagues. Traditionally, it has always either been purely recreational play taught at your local community center by volunteer parents or high-pressure elite volleyball through clubs with intense eight-month seasons that cost several thousand dollars.
“Not anymore,” says owner Tracy Dudley. “Our youth volleyball program has captured so many boys and girls who wanted to play volleyball, but just did not have options available that were a good fit for them. Parents approach me every day to thank me for introducing this program. Our facility welcomes all ages, genders, sizes and calibers of players—and our coaches are some of the best in Colorado.”
