Local Resident Re-elected to South Metro Fire Board

By Carin Kirkegaard

In the mail ballot election for the South Metro Fire Rescuse (SMFR) Board of Directors, Castle Pines North (CPN) resident William (Bill) P. Schaeffer was one of the three incumbent candidates selected to serve another four-year term. Raymond A. Bullock and Peter Webb were also re-elected.

With the entire group returning to serve another term, Schaeffer is looking forward to getting back to work. “This board is a team-oriented group who wants to promote quality fire and medical services while maintaining a strict budget,” said Schaeffer. At the top of Schaeffer’s list of goals for the new term is to see that the proposed station 43 is built in CPN.

Schaeffer has lived in CPN since 1990 and plays a vital role as a returning member to the SMFR Board of Directors. Having served as a firefighter for 25 years, Schaeffer is able to provide a perspective from the viewpoint of a firefighter that is important when making board decisions.
