Local hospitals to host 9Health fairs

by Terri Wiebold

For more than 25 years, Colorado’s largest non-profit, volunteer-driven health fair program has been promoting health awareness and encouraging individuals to assume responsibility for their own health by offering free and low-cost health and educational screenings.

Take time to get checked out. A complete blood chemistry analysis – including heart, kidney, muscle and bone, liver and thyroid functions – will be available for $30. Prostate (PSA) screening will be offered for $25. Other screenings available include: blood pressure, body mass index, bone density, breast/pap, hearing, lung functioning, prostate screening (DRE), skin cancer, stress/life balance and vision. Additionally, participants will be able to talk with health professionals about any questions or concerns.

Sky Ridge Medical Center, located at 10101 Ridge Gate Parkway, just west of I-25 and Lincoln Avenue, will host the 9Health Fair on Saturday, April 25, from 7 a.m. to noon. Parker Adventist Hospital, located at 9395 Crown Crest Blvd. in Parker will host on Sunday, April 26, from 7 a.m. to noon.
