Local businesses host holiday cheer

By Patte Smith

Joyful ahhs and oohs resounded at The Ridge Restaurant as children and parents visited with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the annual Christmas breakfasts held in early December. It was a fun time for the kids as they laughed, danced and sang with the Claus’ as parents delighted in taking photos of little (and some not-so-little) ones.

Sponsored by Sky Ridge Medical Center, the Tammy Lopez Allstate Insurance Agency, the Castle Pines Connection newspaper and the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce, more than one hundred people enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast at the annual event.

The kids climbed on Santa’s lap to whisper in his ear what they hoped he would bring them for Christmas as Mrs. Claus smiled and joked with them. Many of the children sang and danced to the HO, HO, HO Pokey with the jolly Claus couple. Colorful creatures of all shapes wound around the room and the kids gazed in awe as a balloon artist created unique animals for them.

Thanks to the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce and The Ridge Restaurant for organizing a great community holiday event! View a slideshow of the event at www.CastlePinesConnection.com and click on “Photo Album.”
