Light up the night to kick off the holidays

The annual Christmas tree lighting at The Ridge at Castle Pines took place on Friday, December 1. It was the first event of Winter Wonderland, a series of December happenings co-hosted by the City of Castle Pines and the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce.

The event included food trucks, live performances, a visit with Santa Claus, face painting, and more. Santa was given the honor of lighting the tree, and Mayor Tracy Engerman and event sponsors spoke to the assembled crowd of approximately 300.

A fireworks show wrapped up the special, holiday evening – see the January E Guide cover photo (below) provided by resident Michelle Madera of her son and his friend watching the show. Michelle won a $50 gift card for her submission.
