Lavishea lotion bars– looks like a bar of soap

By Liane M. Davis

A professional airline pilot, who happens to be one of the owners of Lavishea lotion bars, was not a fan of lotions. The lotions always left a greasy feel. Because of airline restrictions or handling procedures on most lotion products, it made it difficult to use any type of lotion. Looking for something better, and after only six months of formulation, Lavishea lotion bars were created.

Lavishea lotion bars are all natural and gluten free, made using one-hundred percent unrefined shea butter and handcrafted in Togo, West Africa. With no water necessary, the lotion bar uses the heat of your body temperature and melts the lotion onto your skin. It is absorbed quickly leaving a velvety feel but not the greasy residue left behind from most lotion products.

Initially, Lavishea products were sold through local farmer’s markets in the state of Colorado. As demand grew quickly with, of course, flight attendants, the lotion bars received a big welcome from the knitters and crafters community. They were looking for a product that would provide moisture but would not transfer to the yarn or fabric.

About the size of a hockey puck, the lotion bars are perfect for traveling and are able to pass through airport security checkpoints. The lotion bars can melt in high temperatures, so keeping them out of direct sun or hot temperatures is recommended.

Lavishea lotion bars come in more than a half a dozen scents and are sold in yarn shops nationwide as well as select retailers in Colorado. For more information, visit www.lavishea.com or call 720-851-1024 or e-mail.
