“Kitty Karnival” at The Buddy Center

June is adopt-a-cat month and The Buddy Center is gearing up to find homes for many of its kittens and cats during Kitty Karnival on Saturday, June 24. The Karnival will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with crafts, games and small prizes on hand for children.
“Our goal is to adopt well over 100 cats during the event,” said Linda Holihan, spokesperson for The Buddy Center. “Although dog owners have become diligent about spaying and neutering their pets, we find that we still have a lot of education to do about cats. There are so many cats, and we really want to find good homes for each of them.”
Due to the high volume of cats at the shelter, The Buddy Center is seeking cat-related donations, such as food and toys. “We would be really grateful to our human friends for bringing in any items to help take care of our cats,” said Holihan.
