Kindergarten registration opens soon
Kindergarten registration for the Douglas County School District’s 2025-2026 school year will begin the week of December 2. Incoming students must turn 5 on or before October 1, 2025, to be eligible to start kindergarten.
Enrollment dates and times vary for our area elementary schools.
American Academy’s enrollment lottery will take place on Thursday, December 5. Families can enroll students up to 11:59 p.m. on December 4 to be included in the lottery. Detailed enrollment information can be found on the school’s homepage: aak8.org/apps/pages/aa-enroll-about.
Buffalo Ridge Elementary will be accepting kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year on Monday, December 2. For more information, visit buffaloridgek5.org/family_resources/new_student_registration_2024-2025.
DCS Montessori participates in the district open enrollment program. The second round of open enrollment for kindergarten through eighth grade will open on January 22, 2025, and close on August 1, 2025. Detailed enrollment information can be found under “Admissions” at the top of the home page at dcsmontessori.org.
Timber Trail Elementary will be accepting kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year on Monday, December 2. Registration information and documents are available on Timber Trail’s website under “Recent News” at tte.dcsdk12.org.
