If you enjoy beautiful jewelry but don’t enjoy the cost, try making creative beautiful items with help from the friendly owner and employees at “Bead it!” near Park Meadows.

Bead it!, which has been in the area for 14 years, was purchased in 2007 by Castle Pines Village resident Laurel Mueller, and is a fantastic place for beginner to advanced jewelry artists.

Bead it! offers comfortable bead bars where customers can create their jewelry and benefit from the knowledge and creativity of the staff. Mueller is president of the Rocky Mountain Bead Society, and she truly enjoys working with customers, both old and new.

“Our goal is to earn our customers’ business every day by providing excellent customer service. We learn most of our customers’ names and take pride in the referral of their friends and family members.  Our entire staff loves to bead and experiment in mixed media and we love to share that enthusiasm and experience with our friends, our customers!” Mueller and her staff hand pick all of their semi-precious stones and fresh-water pearls, and strive to offer the highest quality at the most affordable prices.

December is a great time to learn new jewelry making skills, as Bead it! is hosting a series of classes called “Easy Gift Giving.” Classes will be held December 5 through 9 in the morning and evening and will focus on new projects each day. In addition to these special classes, the Bead it! staff teaches more than 20 jewelry making techniques and projects by appointment where students can try out new mediums to discover what they enjoy. Mueller also brings in internationally recognized jewelry artists as guest instructors for specialty classes.

Mueller believes in giving back to her community, and her store has worked extensively with The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver (BGCMD) by conducting a beading program for 180 kids that enabled them to produce beautiful necklaces and learn jewelry skills free of charge. Mueller and her staff proudly support local public schools in their fundraising efforts, and they frequently work with groups that have special needs.
