Junior Team Tennis Coming to CPN

Thanks to the efforts of the Board of HOA#1, all Castle Pines North youth are invited to join Junior Team Tennis. JTT is a USTA juniors league which will allow the community’s 8-18 year olds to play matches in a team format against other Colorado youths at their age and skill level.

The HOA#1 Board secured the services of Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy (www.rockymountaintennis.com) as our provider for all of this year’s tennis programs. Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy is headed by Mark Taylor, a USPTR certified tennis professional. Mark and his staff are involved in every area of tennis in Colorado, from children to adults, beginners to tournament players. The staff includes Varsity and Jr. Varsity coaches from four area high schools including Thunder Ridge, Cherry Creek, and Chaparral.

JTT participants will practice two times weekly with matches on Mondays. Parent volunteers are needed to organize, help out on match days, and assist with team parties. If you would like to volunteer, or to find out more about the programs, call th Rocky Mountain Tennis Academy at 303-791-6720.

Junior tennis instruction classes for the spring meet once a week for 4 weeks. Sessions for Tots (ages 4-6) run for 45 minutes, and the fee is $36. Winners (7-10 yrs) and Acers (11-15 yrs) meet for one hour, and the fee is $40.

Winner classes are designed for those who have never played, or are still progressing to playing with others. Acer classes are geared for those able to maintain a rally over the net, and for those progressing to match play.

To learn more about the programs or to volunteer, contact JTT at 303-791-6720 or visit their website at www.rockymountaintennis.com .
