Journey to Christmas
Since 2012, Journey Church Colorado has been serving the community through its annual Christmas Store. Each year, with the help of hundreds of volunteers, the church converts its auditorium into a toy store. Working with schools in the community to determine families who might be struggling, Journey invites parents to come shop for their children’s gifts at highly-reduced prices. Outerwear and shoes are also available for purchase and the gifts are wrapped for the shoppers.
Each year, the event continues to grow. This December’s Christmas Store served 273 families, a total of 1,044 kids. The donations and toys Journey received made it possible for parents to provide and kids to find presents under the Christmas tree.
