Join Your Neighbors at Spruce-Up Colorado
The fourth annual Spruce-Up Colorado Day will be Saturday, April 24. All CPN residents are encouraged to don bright orange vests provided by CDOT to help clean up the area from Surrey Ridge to Castle Pines Village.
This year, the event coincides with Arbor Day, and CDOT has given its permission for Spruce-Up Colorado to plant already-donated trees along the cement wall at the intersection of Castle Pines Parkway and I-25.
Prudential Preferred Real Estate is once again sponsoring the event. Other Castle Pines North businesses will also participate, by providing food and prizes.
Last year, about 60 people participated, and this year the event’s organizers are hoping for 100. “Everyone is invited — no matter what age,” said Don Bobeda of Prudential Preferred Real Estate.
This is a great event for families, neighborhoods, and groups. Young people can also fulfill community service requirements by participating.
Coffee and donuts will be available before the event, and lunch will be served afterwards.
Trash bags will be provided, but make sure to bring rakes, pokers and gloves.
Call to reserve your vest or just arrive at the Parking Lot at the BankWest/Prudential building, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on April 24.
