Join this summer’s theatre production of “Aladdin”
By Elean Gersack
Calling all first through twelfth graders! The Castle Pines Arts & Cultural Foundation (CPACF) is pleased to announce the return of the Missoula Children’s Theater (MCT) with a production of “Aladdin” this July 11 through 16. Students can take a magic carpet ride to adventure and discover the fun of performing together.
Auditions are planned for Monday, July 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Rocky Heights Middle School. Fifty to 60 kids will make up the cast of this beloved genie in a bottle tale. Students who try out must have clear schedules for the entire week for both rehearsals and production.
“Once again, the Castle Pines Arts & Cultural Foundation is thrilled to sponsor this week-long event with Missoula Children’s Theatre, a touring group that serves almost 1,200 U.S. communities and 16 foreign countries,” shared Vicky Kellen, CPACF board member. “We shall welcome many enthusiastic repeat performers for our third season in our warm environment. MCT is the place to make new friends, develop skills and confidence in one’s abilities and achievements, and above all, to have a great time!”
The CPACF’s first official meeting was held in early 2013 with the mission to support the arts in Castle Pines. Learn more and register online at www.castlepinesarts.org. Early registration is highly recommended to help avoid lines at auditions. The tuition for this week-long program is $70 for those who are selected to perform.
