It is time to vote

If you are wondering where to vote in the upcoming 2024 General Election, drop off your ballots at a ballot drop box location or go to a polling location to stand in line; both options by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5. Most 80108-ers will drop their ballot at the drop box behind the Douglas County Library (DCL) – Castle Pines at 360 Village Square Lane.

Information about all things voting – excluding promotion of any candidate or issue – can be found at Just Vote Colorado, a non-partisan voter assistance project and is not affiliated with or promoting any party, candidate or ballot issue. This includes how to register to vote and the required qualifications needed to register. Individuals can register at any time leading up to, and including, Election Day.

Colorado voter registration requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older by Election Day

Must be a United States citizen

Must have resided in Colorado 22 days immediately before the election at which you intend to vote (Mon. October 14, 2024, at the latest)

Must not be currently serving a sentence of confinement or detention for a felony conviction

Voter registration options:

Register online, by October 28, on the Colorado Secretary of State’s website – www.coloradosos.gov/voter.

Visit a Voter Service and Polling Center. Anyone in line by 7 p.m. on election day can register to vote and vote in-person.

Register by mail, fax or email.

Register at the county’s clerk and recorder office.

In Douglas County, voters needing assistance can visit a voter service and polling center (VSPC) to register to vote, update voter registration, replace a ballot, drop off a ballot, vote in person or use an ADA-accessible voting machine.

The DCL – Castle Pines is the VSPC for Castle Pines. It will be open Friday November 1, 2, and 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5.

Learn more about registering to vote and find answers to voting questions at www.justvotecolorado.org or call 866-687-8683.
