After a several year hiatus, the Winter Park Ski Train is back in action.  The scenic two-hour ride from Union Station in Denver to the base of Winter Park Ski Resort is a great way to enjoy the Colorado high country and avoid the hassles of driving.  A bucket-list opportunity at the very least, all Coloradans should take the opportunity and enjoy the ride.

One-way tickets will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from January 7 to March 26, so go up for the day, the weekend or the week and customize your travel.  The train will also run on Monday, January 16 and Monday, February 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. and Presidents Day holidays.

Departure schedule:
Leave Union Station at 7 a.m. / Arrive Winter Park at 9 a.m.
Leave Winter Park at 4:30 p.m. / Arrive Union Station at 6:40 p.m.

A limited number of tickets at the early bird price of $39 may be available.  Other ticket options include $49 or $59 seats.  Up to two children, ages two to 12 traveling with each adult, can receive half-price fares.
