The Colorado Department of Transportation has stated that more than 90 percent of the child safety seats inspected by their organization, “Child Passenger Safety Team Colorado,” were installed improperly.
CPS Team Colorado is administered by the Colorado State Patrol and CDOT, funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Their web site is located at http://www.carseatscolorado.com, and provides information about car seat recalls, details about Colorado seatbelt laws, airbag information, car seat checkup locations throughout the state, and safety-related news articles.
