Hide in Plain Sight has new name: Aspire Scholarships

On November 30, longtime supporters of Hide In Plain Sight, now named Aspire Scholarships (AS), gathered on Happy Canyon Road to celebrate the new name and sharpened focus of the organization under the leadership of the new executive director, Leah Goss. The mission of the nonprofit is to “award college scholarships to aspiring young students facing homelessness and adversity.”

A current scholar of the program shared her story of family and personal tragedy. Leah highlighted the organization’s new program, The Aspire Community, which brings scholars and volunteers together to explore and reflect on topics that will strengthen their determination and resilience. Also emphasized was the goal to raise $100,000 which will allow AS to request a $100,000 matching grant from the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative, all of which will go to scholarships in 2024-25.

Guests enjoyed networking, hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast. For more information, visit aspirescholarships.org.
