Have you heard about Turo?
Almost everyone planning a trip, or looking for an extra source of income, has heard of Airbnb or Vrbo, the popular websites that allow people to rent out rooms in their homes, or entire houses as alternatives to hotels. But have they heard of Turo? Turo is a national car rental service that follows the same principles as Airbnb, allowing people to rent out their cars for a day, or a week, giving travelers an alternative to standard car rental companies.
Turo allows people to generate extra income by posting their car for rent. Not only is this a way to capitalize on resources one may already have in their garage, but it gives travelers a way to save some time and money on vacation or business.
Turo has many benefits for both parties. For example, the cost of renting a car in the Denver Metro area can be as low as $30 a day, or upwards of $1,000 if a joyride in a Lamborghini is what the customer is looking for. That means one can rent out the car sitting in the driveway, or the prized sportscar…
In addition to cost, Turo is everywhere, not just at the airport. No need to catch an Uber back to the airport for a day trip and waste any time in the Mile High City. Turo is about convenience for everyone involved and many renters will meet the customer at their desired location, not just the airport
The newer service offers luxury vehicles, standard cars, family-friendly SUVs, pickup trucks to tote ski gear for a trip to the Rockies, and even cargo vans. One can filter the search for gas or electric vehicles, year, makes, models, and even detailed features such as bike racks, snow tires, or a sunroof – all things tailored to Colorado activities and climates.
Aside from trying to improve the travel experience, if someone is looking for a few extra bucks on the side, Turo is a great option. There is an in-depth process for rental, including an instantaneous background check, and insurance options to keep rental cars protected. Owners can choose how many miles they offer, how many days they are willing to lend their vehicle, and even what age (and experience on the road) the driver needs to be in order to rent.
All things considered, this new service could be a nice change for owners and renters alike. For more information, visit turo.com.
