Are you a Douglas County resident with a love for the County Fair and Rodeo tradition as well as a background in the music industry and family-friendly entertainment?
If so, you could be the next member of the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo Board – representing a community tradition that next year will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Applications for the one open seat are due on or before August 7.
Candidates for this volunteer position will ideally have knowledge of or experience in the entertainment industry, including bookings, selection of talent, and sound and light coordination.
As a board member you will be required to participate on two existing committees, which meet twice a month. In addition, members attend a monthly fair board meeting and can expect to spend an average of three+ hours a week.
