Hats off to Derby-themed Womenade event
Womenade gathered on May 2 at the HOA 2 Clubhouse in Castle Pines. The Kentucky Derby-themed event raised funds to support Kristi (back row center, in red hat), who suffered severe injuries due to a fall. Kristi, who is self-employed, spoke to the group about her surgeries and expressed appreciation for the support she has received from friends and neighbors.
Founded 20 years ago by a group of women in Castle Rock, Womenade helps neighbors in need. Each person contributes a potluck dish and $25 for a gift or “hand up.”
