A new eatery in town brings a local favorite to the neighborhood. Golden Flame Hot Wings in the Village Square shopping center is the third location in the chain that gained popularity in Aurora. A large selection of wings and famous locally-produced sauces which range in intensity from mild to “volcanic” are the specialty of the house.

The Castle Pines location is owned and operated by Scott Ulrich, who said the restaurant – which opened in December – has been well received in the community.

“Word has definitely gotten out about us,” said Ulrich. “This is a great family place, we have seating for 35 and it’s a great place to hang out and watch sports on television.”

Besides the famous wings and sauces, which are sold by the bottle, the menu offers comforting, tasty fare like chicken nuggets, brats, fries with a variety of unique seasonings, fried pickles, and seafood including clams, shrimp and beer-battered fish. Diners looking for lighter options can enjoy a variety of salads. For dessert, don’t miss the fried Twinkie or fried cheesecake.

Golden Flame Hot Wings offers meal deals at lunch and dinner, as well as specials on larger quantities of wings and appetizers to feed a crowd. Take-out and dine-in options are available.

Golden Flame Hot Wings is located at 363 Village Square Lane, Ste 145 and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Hours are: Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
