Fitness court under construction in Elk Ridge Park
Information provided by the City of Castle Pines
Get ready for an exercise experience like no other. The City of Castle Pines is building an outdoor fitness court in Elk Ridge Park that provides users the ability to complete seven movements in seven minutes for a total-body workout and stretch routine.
The circuit training system is specifically designed for adults of all ages and abilities and may be used individually or by groups. The fitness court aligns with the City’s vision and goals to provide outdoor active lifestyle living amenities and foster community. It was made possible at a low cost, in collaboration with the former Parks Authority, the City and the Master Association.
Construction is underway and it is anticipated that the court will open in late October at Elk Ridge Park on the paved trail just west of the playground and splash pad. Considering our natural surroundings, the fitness court will be made of neutral coloring to blend into the native grassland. After construction, a custom graphic will also be added to the west side of the fitness court wall.
Residents can access the court at any time and use the free mobile app or onboard instructions to do the seven movements. When the court opens, National Fitness Campaign ambassadors will be on hand to show residents how to get the most from their workout/stretch. Visit nationalfitnesscampaign.com/app to learn more.
