First municipal court session held February 24

Castle Pines North Municipal Court held its first session 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 24 with Judge Louis Gresh presiding.
Court takes place on the fourth Wednesday of each month starting at 5:30 p.m. at 7404 Yorkshire Drive. The Ausmus law firm is providing prosecution services.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, which serves the City of Castle Pines North (CPN) under an intergovernmental agreement, issued the first CPN tickets on January 17. As of press time, The DCSO had issued 29 tickets, most for speeding and traffic violations.
On February 9, city council approved purchase of a new software package from Justice Systems Inc. that will allow defendants to plea-bargain and pay their ticket on line. The expected implementation date is early April. Additional information on this service will be available in the near future.
