Dog lovers unite! Drop into the new LIV Sotheby’s International Realty home at 482 West Happy Canyon Road on September 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and visit some adorable dogs that you can fall in love with and give them a new home.

The annual Douglas County Canine Rescue (DCCR) dog adoption event partnership offers residents of the Castle Pines community a chance to interact with puppies and pooches who are looking for loving owners.

There will be volunteers from the DCCR to answer questions about the animals. Stop by and relax on the rustic front porch and visit with the dogs in the large yard area. There will be refreshments available and a drawing for a doggie gift basket.

Last year, 42 canine companions were adopted, and the hope is that number will increase for this year’s event.

The DCCR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no kill, animal rescue. Its mission is to rescue abandoned puppies and dogs and place them in foster homes until they are adopted into loving homes. The organization does not have a facility but relies solely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers who open their hearts and homes to help care for the orphaned animals.

For information about the DCCR or to volunteer, visit www.douglascountycanine.org/.
