Family Fun Fest

Much like the fairytale ending of the movie “Grease,” Timber Trail Elementary (TTE) students wrapped up the school year with a fun evening carnival. This was TTE’s inaugural family fun fest to celebrate the end of another great school year. Even though the evening was cold and damp, the weather had no impact on family fun. It was an evening packed with carnival midway games, inflatables, food trucks and music.
Carnival wrist bands ensured participants of all ages enjoyed a night of unlimited game playing including plinko, tiger bean bag throw, Mr. Potato squash and shoot two. Tables were set with prizes like squishy bounce balls, Broncos sunglasses, footballs, leopard fur-wrapped headphones and much, much more. Lines filed around food trucks serving street tacos, gourmet mac and cheese and smoked pulled pork. And yes, a carnival is not complete without dessert – even if it was from a shaved ice truck on a rainy, chilly day!
Kids had their faces decorated with all sorts of colors, shapes and animals, while the fifth grade boys made a grand performance dancing and moving to the Macarena. As the rain and chill tapered off, sunshine filled the field and warmed the hearts of these TTE students and families.
